Percentage Change:
0%
Change Type:
0
Percentage change measures how much a value has increased or decreased relative to its original value, expressed as a percent.
Use the formula: percentage_change = ((new_value - original_value) / original_value) * 100
percentage_change = ((new_value - original_value) / original_value) * 100
Example values: original value = 50, new value = 65.
If the original value is zero, the percentage change is undefined. In that case report the absolute change and explain the original was zero.
A decrease appears as a negative percentage. For example, 60 from 80 gives (60β80)/80 = β0.25, or β25% (a 25% decrease).
Report results as a percentage (decimal Γ 100) unless a decimal ratio is specifically requested. This calculator outputs percent by default.
