Optimize your furnace operations by calculating burn times and resource utilization.
Total Smelting Capacity:
0 items
Fuel Efficiency:
0%
Surplus/Deficit:
Optimal Fuel Needed:
0 units
If efficiency is below 100%, some fuel is being wasted. If capacity is below the items to smelt, the furnace will stop early.
Efficiency is determined by the ratio of items being smelted to the maximum items the fuel can process before burning out.
Formula: Efficiency = (Smelted Items / (Fuel Count × Burn Value)) × 100
Suppose you have 8 pieces of Coal and want to smelt 50 Iron Ore.
Lava Buckets have the highest capacity per slot (100 items), but Charcoal is often the most sustainable for early-game efficiency.
Blast Furnaces and Smokers process items twice as fast but consume fuel at twice the rate, meaning the efficiency ratio per item remains the same.
In modern Minecraft versions, the empty bucket remains in the fuel slot after the lava is consumed.
