How to calculate army points?

10th Edition Warhammer 40,000 uses fixed unit costs for specific squad sizes, removing the need to track individual wargear costs for most units. This means you pay a flat rate for a minimum squad size or a full squad size.

Total Points = (Unit Base Cost × Squad Quantity) + Enhancement Costs

Using the Army Builder: an example

Example: A Strike Force list with Intercessors and a Captain.

Step-by-step calculation:

1. Select 2000pt Strike Force limit.
2. Add a Captain (80 pts) to Characters.
3. Add two 5-man Intercessor squads (160 pts).
